Your Varna getaway starts here. Three unique stays to choose from — pick your dates and let your experience begin.
Varna is Bulgaria's sea capital, with sandy beaches, a long green seaside park and a lively city centre that's easy to explore on foot. Wander to the Sea Garden, discover Roman ruins and golden-domed churches, then end the day with fresh seafood by the water. Our places are in the centre, a short walk from the beach and the main sights. Browse the map above to see how close everything is, or open the area guide for ideas on where to eat, swim and stroll.

Great location near the sea. Very walkable to anything you might need. Although close to busy areas, still felt quiet and peaceful!Megan, Tampa, FL · October 2026 · Stayed at LexHome

Varna sits on the Black Sea and mixes beach life with history, parks and good food. Our places are in the very centre of the city, so everything is close. The beach, the Sea Garden, the main sights, restaurants and shops are a short walk away, and taxis and public transport are easy to find. You don't need a car to enjoy Varna, and there's something for every kind of stay, from a weekend away to a few weeks by the sea.
The Sea Garden is the city's big seaside park, with shady paths, cafés, playgrounds, the aquarium and sea views. The city beach is right beside it, and just 5 minutes from our places on foot.
Further along the coast you will find Rapongi Beach and Officer's Beach, both good places for a swim. Access to the beaches is free. Sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, but there are free areas next to the paid ones. Bring your own towel and umbrella and you can enjoy them at no cost.
Our strong recommendation: Cubo Fishermen's Beach, right by the Sea Garden. It is one of our favourite spots, and you can try windsurfing there.
Along the park you will also find the Dolphinarium, the Wake Park and Bar, where you can try wakeboarding, and the Summer Theatre. You can see all of them on our map.
Try fresh Black Sea fish and mussels and a shopska salad. In the morning, stop by one of the many local bakeries in the centre for a banitsa. Also try a traditional restaurant, such as Ivanchov Han.
There are plenty of sea-view terraces along the seafront. Our tips: Cubo Beach Bar, the Port and the Sea Terrace.
For organised tours, check the Tours and Activities page on Visit Varna.
The centre is easy to walk. Taxis and city buses are easy to find. Varna Airport is a short ride from the centre. Bus line 409 runs from the airport to the centre. Get off at the Sevastopol stop. A taxi costs around 15 euros. For street parking, follow the instructions on the signs to pay.
Beach weather runs from about late May to September, when the city fills with concerts and festivals. Spring and autumn are quieter and great for sightseeing and walks.
